Devonport House Summer Party
Situated on the World Heritage Site in Greenwich and steeped in naval history, De Vere Venues Devonport House offers you the perfect way to enjoy London buzz, without the bustle.Arriving at Devonport House is an experience in itself: with its impressive façade of tall white columns, bold lines and perfect symmetry, it radiates elegance, sophistication and charm. It’s location is convenient too; Greenwich station is a short walk away, and tubes and trains whisk you right to the heart of the city in under 20 minutes.
This home has a noble history. Its name derives from Viscount Devonport, who led the fund-raising campaign to build the house as a memorial to merchant seaman in the First World War. Designed by Sir Edwin Cooper, it was opened in 1929 by the Duke and Duchess of York – the future George VI and Queen Elizabeth. These days the house, rooms and every detail are all yours to enjoy.
The spacious lawn provides a tranquil setting for your summer event- with plenty of character and boasting the idyllic backdrop of this beautiful grade listed building, the venue is ideal for summer parties great and small. Our courtyard is ideal for bbqs, outdoor drinks receptions and smaller activities. The lawn is also a great space for team building activities and company away days. Although it is ready to go for your event, Devonport can be themed to suit any preference and is a stunning summer wedding venue too.
The company summer party is seldom complete without a variety of fun and engaging outdoor team building activities to entertain your staff or suppliers. This team building event gives you the client a huge choice of activities. This means that you can put together an event that everyone in your company will love. The day starts with an introduction from your compere , the group is then warmed up with a number of energisers. The whole group is split into smaller teams of 6-8 participants, it’s then a head to head as teams face each other on different activities in the bid to win as many points as possible. The end of the event see’s the top few teams doing battle to be crowned champions.
