Westminster Abbey Venue Hire SW1

World famous Westminster Abbey is a dream venue for a variety of occasions. The Abbey provides a wide choice of unique settings for a prestigious corporate or charitable event – the Undercroft Museum, Cheyneygates, and in the summer months, the East Cloister and College Garden. The flexibility of choice allows for small receptions in intimate surroundings or large gatherings of up to 500 people in grandiose settings.

The Galleries are housed 52ft above the ground, in the Abbey’s 13th century triforium. Home to our greatest treasures, the space has incomparable views of Parliament to the East and the Quire and Nave to the West.

CAPACITY
Drinks reception: 100 guests

The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries can be hired for a stand-alone drinks reception, or in conjunction with a larger dinner event in the Cellarium.

College Garden – Summer
Host your summer event in one of London’s best kept secrets, a 900-year-old garden, thought to be the oldest in England. You and your guests will enjoy views of the Abbey and Victoria Tower, part of the Palace of Westminster.

In June and July, we construct a stylish glass marquee with a decked porch area, making College Garden an idyllic venue for a relaxed reception, formal gala dinner or corporate conference and lunch.

CAPACITY
Drinks reception: 500 guests
Dinner: 240 guests

Packages

Since our founding by Benedictine monks, hospitality has always been at the heart of the Abbey. We have held royal weddings, state occasions, and every coronation since 1066.

Now you can hire an historic space for your next corporate event. Host a dinner or reception in one of our unique heritage spaces, set within the Abbey grounds – and offer your guests a private tour of the Abbey.

The Galleries
One of the newest event spaces in London, The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries boasts a view which John Betjeman declared ‘the best view in Europe’. You can now host an exclusive drinks reception in this unique and glorious place.

The Cloisters
