Built in the 1900s, the flesh and bones of Victoria Warehouse has stood as a symbol of this city’s industrial strength and innovation for around 100 years, but it’s what’s happened under its skin that makes it a venue to really capture the imagination. A huge and massively flexible floor space means we can adapt to any event, a fact testified to by the diverse range of people, products and occasions its played host to.
The venue are proud to say that brands like BMW, Gap, The National Youth Music Theatre, The Warehouse Project and Jamesons have chosen to have Victoria Warehouse stage their events but the venue like to share its success with its home city too. By staging art exhibitions; experimental music and theatre shows, sporting events and cultural happenings that demand our particularly versatile space.
Victoria Warehouse actively seek out unconventional artists and events like these, not only to give them a place to flourish, but to continually feed the veune’s own vision. On top of this, the venue’s boutique hotel, spa, bar and bistro-style restaurant now occupy part of the first and second floor of the Victoria Warehouse Hotel, adjacent to the event space.
The Warehouse has 5 versatile event spaces:
At 1185 sqm, Room 1 is the largest space available at Victoria Warehouse. Due to its square format and vast ceiling height it’s the perfect event room; Room 1 offers a stunning backdrop for a variety of event concepts. Room 1 has the service infrastructure to hold large performance events such as music concerts, sporting events and conferences. This means all event production (lighting, rigging, etc.) can be extremely easily installed.
An event space with classic Victorian warehouse features. With its rows of concrete columns spanning the entire width of the building, it is a versatile space which works well both as a single hire as well as an additional support space when hiring Rooms 1 and 3.
The smallest of the rooms available, Room 3 provides 198 sqm of warehouse space which has the ability to be transformed into anything from brand experiences to music shows and events. It also works in its most natural state; excellent for creating warehouse type moods on photo-shoots and film locations. Room 3 also serves as a useful support room for larger events taking place in Rooms 1 and 2 and has previously been used as a kitchen space for catering.
The Bays is a brand new event space in the Victoria Warehouse Hotel, perfect for conferences, awards dinners, networking events, weddings, christenings, and private parties. The Bays can hold 360 people for a reception, 200 for dinner, and 310 in theatre-style seating. We describe this as our ‘plug and play space’ because it’s ideal for corporate and private clients looking for a hassle-free event solution.
Completed in January 2014, the best views of Room 1 can been seen from our VIP mezzanine. Designed to be a contemporary viewing platform over the main space of our industrial warehouse, it can provide tiered ticketed packages and an extra luxury feature for your guests. With 17 private booths that can benefit from private hostess services and champagne packages if desired, the mezzanine offers birds eyes views of the main space, designer toilet facilities and its own exclusive bar. The mezzanine has a maximum capacity of 850 standing
Industrial Cotton Sheds, a reclaimed Cinema, the twinkling lights of the Manchester skyline… our distinct spaces have so much to offer, all of which can be themed to suit your concept. It’s a canvas made for big thinkers. We’re able to host events on any scale – just give us the word and we’ll help you select the perfect space for your experience.
Made up of two adjoining areas totalling over 700sqm, The Bays are our most popular event space. Built in 1932 for cotton stock, and later storage for Kellogg’s, McVitie’s and Cadbury’s; their rich history and interesting architecture make them ideal for corporate and showcase events.
A large pre-function space with a feature bar leads into the main room, which is complete with a full AV package. This includes screens and projectors, colour-changing down lighters on the pillars, a PA system, staging, lecterns, microphones and relay screens; giving you a hassle-free event solution.
A beautifully refurbished, urbanised basement, The Archives have a raw, industrial charm. Exhibitions, award dinners, drinks receptions, conferences, meetings and networking events all thrive between these walls.
Capturing a historic and eclectic theme, The Archives feature stripped-back brickwork and statement flooring; offering an unconventional setting that can accommodate most event concepts. From private parties to product launches, this renovated warehouse will mould the theme of the occasion.
The Cellars have inspired decor that takes guests into a world of industry and travel. Together with The Archives, these basement rooms provide four extra sections of creative and adaptable private space for corporate events.

Draped head to toe in industrial aesthetic, The Cotton Sheds regularly host enthralling shows and conferences with as many as eight separate areas and room for up to 5,000 people.
Built in 1925 as a cotton warehouse, The Cotton Sheds cover an incredible 4,533sqm, making them our largest and most dramatic event space. Each ‘Shed’ varies in size and layout, labelled alphabetically with areas that include a bar/ reception and a VIP mezzanine.
Shed A, our most famous space, has been home to events produced by top brands; Nike, Heineken, Jeep, The Northern Powerhouse Partnership and BBC Radio 6 Music festival. This vast area within The Cotton Sheds is perfect for launches, conferences, dinners, sporting events and music shows. Shed B, C, D, E, F and G can be hired collectively as breakout rooms, separate catering areas or exhibition space. From catwalks to luxury cars, The Cotton Sheds have the capacity and versatility to accommodate even the most unusual requests.
