Hire Queen Elizabeth Hall

Queen Elizabeth Hall is closed while we undertake extensive renovation of the space. It is due to reopen in Spring 2018. This 916-seat auditorium has seen hundreds of talented performers, such as Margaret Atwood and J.K.Rowling, grace its stage. Our ongoing renovations will update the technical capabilities of Queen Elizabeth Hall whilst preserving the cultural heritage and distinctive Brutalist design of the building. While Queen Elizabeth Hall is best known as a concert hall, we also stage a number of private events, including conferences and lectures. With its outstanding acoustics and fascinating history, the Hall stands out as an extraordinary and noteworthy venue for a multitude of purposes. Our refurbishment project will bring this hall up to world-class standards so that we can continue to work with the finest established and emerging artists from around the world, as well as continuing to stage impressive corporate events. The adjoining foyer is also undergoing a redesign in order to better meet the needs of guests, with private hire of this space also available. You’ll be treated to outstanding views of the Thames through the newly-installed windows and the refurbished cloakroom will offer ample storage space for event attendees. Queen Elizabeth Hall’s backstage facilities are also having an upgrade with newly refurbished dressing rooms, Artists’ Bar and Green Room.

Hire Purcell Room

Purcell Room at Queen Elizabeth Hall is closed while we undertake our vital restoration project. It is due to reopen in Spring 2018. The world-renowned Purcell Room has played host to some of the biggest names of the 20th century and beyond, including Daniel Barenboim, Marianne Faithfull and Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. The venue is suitable for a variety of events, from intimate concerts, to conferences and awards ceremonies. Our refurbishment project will bring this hall up to world-class standards so that we can continue to work with the finest established and emerging artists from around the world, as well as continuing to stage impressive corporate events in style and comfort. The walls, floors and ceilings will be restored to their original appearance, taking our audiences straight back to the 1960s. However, Purcell Room won’t be stuck in the past – we’re improving our acoustics by removing old technical equipment, and replacing it with new lighting and sound equipment, so that we will be better able to support your technical needs. Our new climate control system and beautifully reupholstered seating will make the Purcell Room markedly more comfortable for delegates. The newly redesigned foyer is being opened up to create a bright and welcoming space, perfect for registration, catering and networking. Our backstage facilities are also getting a makeover: our refurbished dressing rooms, Artists’ Bar and Green Room will together make for a relaxing experience for any presenters or board members about to take to the stage
