The triple dream of launching a centre, a “lieu” or destination place, for food, art and music has been realised by Mourad “Momo” Mazouz and his team of chefs and designers over two expansive floors of a converted 18th century building in Conduit Street, Mayfair, London.
sketch is a complex and unique site. Conceived by French master chef Pierre Gagnaire and restaurateur Mazouz, it has attracted unprecedented media reaction for its myriad food, drink and entertainment styles since it opened in December 2002. Gagnaire’s culinary genius has inspired the menus throughout sketch. His eponymous Michelin three-starred Paris restaurant has a distinctive menu style, which Gagnaire had adapted for sketch. The venue work towards minimum spends on each of our rooms which vary depending on the time of day, day of the week, and month of the year. We will be able to give you a quote once you give me a date (or a preferred day of the week), and a rough guest capacity.
sketch features multiple dining areas, each one offering a sophisticated and unique haven in which to enjoy delectable dishes. The 2 Michelin-starred and 5 AA Rosette award-winning Lecture Room & Library is a stunning fine dining room, whilst The Glade exudes an ambience of an enchanted fairy tale forest serving afternoon tea and cocktails at night. The Parlour presents a quirky alternative, with the option for a DJ and dancing, along with canapés and bowl food. And finally… The Gallery, a unique and vibrant gastro-brasserie, lies at the heart of sketch. Conceived by visual artist and Turner Prize nominee David Shrigley, the latest exhibit features farcical, amusing drawings as an artistic backdrop. The imaginative menu is devised by French Master Chef Pierre Gagnaire, and award-winning wines and fabulous service will ensure a magical dining experience.
