RSA House offers 11 stunning event spaces available for corporate hire integrating Georgian grandeur with contemporary and high specifications facilities. Located in the heart of London’s West End within easy reach of Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square, the South Bank and numerous transport links.

RSA House offers in house AV packages and is partnered with Event Magazine’s “Caterer of the Year” Harbour & Jones Events, producing seasonal and organic menus. Harbour & Jones Events have great experience in the industry and can deliver high quality food ranging from a working lunch to a luxurious banqueting menu.

The House is a centre for Enlightenment thinking, an inspiring environment to unblock creativity and discuss ideas and the intellectual and social home of some of the greatest thinkers and social activists of the past 200 years.

Each room differs in style, capacity and character. The Great Room is the largest space in the house offering a 360 degree, James Barry original showcasing the “progression of human knowledge and culture.” The Durham Street Auditorium is a purpose built theatre ideal for screening, lectures and conferences. The theatre as build on the last remaining stretch of 18th century cobbled roadway, which was part of a tunnel beneath the House leading down to the Thames. In contrast the interconnecting Vaults originally designed as river-front warehouses offer a choice of secluded settings for intimate gatherings of, used a whole, provide a spectacular backdrop to parties and product launches. With the 11 event spaces available for corporate and private hire, RSA House is an ideal historic London venue for any event.

RSA House is an inspiring central London conference and meetings venue, featuring eleven event spaces spanning four floors.

The setup of the House allows the flexibility for you to host multiple events simultaneously or the option to take over the House for a more exclusive feel.

Our spaces

The largest conference room is the Great Room, seating up to 180 guests. It’s often hired together with the Benjamin Franklin Room, which acts as the catering space.

The venue’s most unique conference setting is the Durham Street Auditorium, built under a tunnel featuring exposed brickwork which allows for up to 70 guests.

A further seven smaller rooms can be hired for individual meetings, breakouts or catering space, with five of these interconnecting. Each room has its own unique story and character.

RSA House can provide both relaxed and more formal surroundings for an extraordinary celebration. Whether it be for a birthday, cocktail party, anniversary, cocktail party, or any other special occasion, we would love to host your next special celebration at our renowned London venue. We can accommodate between 10 to 220 guests and can tailor any package to suit your needs.

A Georgian townhouse providing an inspiring venue for any occasion. RSA House seamlessly combines original period architecture with modern design and technology to create a truly memorable backdrop for any event.

The Great Room is our flagship space, playing host to large conferences, dinners, award ceremonies, weddings and drinks receptions.

Steeped in history, this iconic room houses an impressive series of 18th-century paintings that provide a unique and memorable backdrop for all events. It is fully air-conditioned, with natural daylight streaming in from the glass-domed ceiling, and features full built-in AV.

The Great Room is on the first floor and is often hired in conjunction with the Benjamin Franklin Room directly beneath it. This serves as the ideal meeting catering or pre- and post-reception drinks space to the Great Room.

Additionally, the Drawing Room, located next door to the Great Room, is the perfect green room or VIP room, allowing direct access to the stage for presenters and speakers. It is also often hired as an organiser’s office, break out room, or for storage. A further four interconnecting meeting rooms can be found on the first floor, lending themselves perfectly for breakout spaces for larger conferences and meetings.

The Great Room has a high specification for in-house AV and lighting. There are 8 free standing speakers around the room which link the sound and lighting together. The stage is a permanent fixture and the optional screen measures 4 metres x 2.5 metres. Other features available in this room:

A room rich with history
The Great Room was designed by the Adam brothers in 1774 and was originally used as an assembly room for the Society Members’ discussions and debates and as a venue for the presentation of awards and prizes.

The breath-taking series of six paintings, ‘The Progress of Human Knowledge and Culture’, is the final product of artist James Barry, taking a total of 23 years to complete.

When hiring the Great Room, you are stepping foot inside the room that saw past RSA Fellow Alexander Graham Bell give one of the first practical demonstrations of his new invention, the telephone, in 1877.

The Benjamin Franklin Room is a spacious and elegant ground floor event room, providing a modern and contemporary twist in a venue full of history.

This space is ideal for drinks receptions, meeting catering, dinners, product launches, and wedding ceremonies. It is also often used as crowd holding for location filming.

The large window floods the room with natural daylight and provides views of the Strand. The dramatic Troika chandelier is the room’s focal point and reflects stunning geometric patterns onto the ceiling.

The magnificent Benjamin Franklin room works hand in hand with the Great Room above it, providing an ideal catering area or breakout room for conferences and reception space for dinners. The room can also be hired individually for stand-alone events such as receptions, dinners, product launches, large meetings, and filming. Conveniently located on the ground floor, this room is near to the reception and cloakroom facilities.

Beneath the grand and traditional event spaces of RSA House lies something rather extraordinary. The subterranean Vaults boast four interconnecting event spaces, featuring exposed 18th-century brickwork throughout.

This iconic London venue suits just about any event, playing host to product launches, fashion shows, parties, press days, exhibitions, TV and film shoots, and weddings. This space has welcomed many well-known brands, including Yves Saint Laurent, Molton Brown and Penguin Books.
