The Royal Opera House is a unique venue – home to The Royal Opera, The Royal Ballet and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House we bring together the world’s most extraordinary artists in more than 500 performances each year in our two world-class theatres.
There is a wide variety of spaces available for hire, giving you the opportunity to host an unforgettable event in an iconic venue that is both historic and contemporary at the heart of London’s West End.
All proceeds support the future of ballet, opera, dance and music at the Royal Opera House.
With a theatre on this site since 1732, the Royal Opera House is steeped in centuries of histor y. The current theatre wa s designed by Edmund Barry and opened in 1858. Many of the rooms still boa st the original architectural feat ures from this time. The stage has played host to some of the world’s greatest performers from Pavarotti to Callas, Nureyev and Fonteyn. After a major redevelopment completed in 1999, the Royal Opera House now combines elements of the original Victorian theatre with state of the art backstage facilities to great effect. As the home of world class opera and ballet, the Royal Opera House remains a standard for national and international excellence.
Royal Opera House Restaurants is a refreshing new venture by the Royal Opera House and its new catering partner Company of Cooks.
They will include the Paul Hamlyn Hall, Balcony Restaurant and Bar, the Amphitheatre Restaurant and Bar, the Crush Room, Conservatory, Trust Dining Rooms, as well as Events.
Paul Hamlyn Hall Daytime Events
Completed in 1860, the Floral Hall, as it was then known, was used as a flower market during the day and transformed into an events venue in the evening. After careful restoration in 1997, the history of what is now known as the Paul Hamlyn Hall continues, with events being held in this space as fabulous and stunning as the surroundings. With its magnificent barrelled roof and stunning ironwork, the Hall is ideal for those wishing to provide drama and glamour for their guests. This light and spacious venue is perfectly suited for such daytime events as lunches, conferences or launches. Hire of the Paul Hamlyn Hall also includes the newly completed Davies Terrace with its balcony over Bow Street.

Paul Hamlyn Hall Evening Events
Completed in 1860, the Floral Hall, as it was then known, was used as a flower market during the day and transformed into an events venue in the evening. Since its restoration in 1997, the Paul Hamlyn Hall has been the iconic host to some of the capital’s most glittering parties and dinners, including the GQ Men of the Year Awards, the Rolex Protégé Programme Awards and the Orange British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTAs. The Paul Hamlyn Hall and adjoining Davies Terrace has limited availability due to our packed performance schedule. With only a few available nights each year, any evening event held here is instantly an exceptional occasion.

Piazza Restaurant, Piazza Terrace Bar and Level 5 Bar
The beautifully redesigned Piazza Restaurant is decorated with objects and images from the Royal Opera House collections and is ideal for lunches or break-out dining spaces. The adjacent Level 5 Bar is at the very heart of the Royal Opera House with views over the Paul Hamlyn Hall to one side and easy access to the Piazza Terrace Bar on the other. The Piazza Terrace Bar is the perfect place to experience Covent Garden, with great views over the piazza, elegant seating and furniture arrangements. The Terrace is covered and heated, offering an outdoor space in the centre of London, whatever the weather.

Linbury Theatre
The Linbury Theatre is the West End’s newest and most intimate theatrical space, presenting performances by The Royal Ballet, The Royal Opera and their collaborating artists and partners.
This world-class performance space also offers flexible arrangements for a variety of events. Owing to our packed performance schedule, availability of the Linbury Theatre is limited, so any event held here is a unique experience.
