Built during the 1880’s as a London residence and gentlemens club, The Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place are unrivalled venues offering 5-star service and elegance, within a stunning historic building designed in a chateau style.  It is a unique Grade I listed Victorian building. The venue lends itself naturally to Christmas where many generations have celebrated over the years; with its huge Christmas tree enveloped by our famous marble staircase, its stunning Victorian faience tiling, wooden panelling, high ceilings and ornate plasterwork. In addition, the venue boasts views over the River Thames and London’s lights at night,the London Eye & Whitehall Gardens.

Set around the largest cantilevered marble staircase in Europe, One Whitehall Place (formerly the National Liberal Club) houses eight event rooms including the famous Gladstone Library, which accommodate 30 to 500 people for receptions. In addition to this, The Royal Horseguards Hotels One Twenty One Two restaurant has four private dining rooms, perfect for smaller events, perfect for receptions, lunches and dinners up to 40 people. One Whitehall Place has eight function spaces, which are perfect for drinks receptions, lunches, dinners and dinner dances from 40 to 250 people seated or 500 standing.

WHITEHALL SUITE

The Whitehall Suite is the premier conference facility near Whitehall. A magnificent Victorian room – originally the Billiards Room of the National Liberal Club – its chandeliers, pillars and high ceilings provide an inspiring backdrop for your event with huge windows admitting plenty of natural daylight.

Situated below pavement level and accommodating up to 320 guests for a reception, the suite is both stunning and convenient, a room that’s flexible enough to accommodate any type of conference, reception, awards ceremony, product launch or event.

The hotel can provide staging to cater for all types of event, and our in-house AV company can provide on-site technicians as required.

The Whitehall Suite is perfect for large events and connects directly to the Whitehall Reception, a very versatile greeting area.

RIVER ROOM

Formerly the Ladies’ Lounge of the National Liberal Club, The River Room is now a thoroughly welcoming venue suitable for events up to 80 guests.The River Room enjoys high ceilings, air-conditioning and wireless internet access, and our in-house AV company can provide on-site technicians as required.

The River room still displays its original oak panelling, while the floor to ceiling windows reveal stunning, all-encompassing views towards the London Eye and River Thames. A quintessential setting for a private dinner with a fabulous backdrop.
