The Museum of London tells the incredible story of the world’s greatest city and its people. Through its immersive galleries, visitors are taken on a journey exploring London’s history from prehistoric times to the present day via the Roman, medieval, Tudor and Victorian eras.
The museum is a stunning venue for both daytime and evening events. Designed with events in mind, these unique spaces provide the perfect backdrop for drinks receptions, dinners and conferences. By staging an event in the expansive galleries you will have access to their collections and the expertise behind them.
The museum uses its incredible collection of objects and personal stories to inspire a passion for London. Located in the heart of the City, the Museum of London is a recognised industry leader in promoting sustainability, with its green roof, rainwater harvesting programme and bee-friendly wild meadow!

The Museum of London is a unique venue for evening events, with a capacity of up to 1,000 for a reception, or 420 for a banquet.
Conferences and meetings
Whether you require a conference for 230 delegates with break out rooms, or a board meeting for 12 people, we can provide the perfect setting.
The Terrace Gallery provides a beautiful setting for an evening reception with a range of menus to match, from canapés and fork buffets to barbecues and hog roasts. With capacity for up to 150 guests for a standing reception or 100 for dinner and both indoor & outdoor space, you can enjoy the perfect event, whatever the weather.
Entrance Hall
Arriving in the striking Entrance Hall, guests will be greeted by our welcoming hosts. The contemporary space with its futuristic bar can be combined with the Galleries and London Ellipse Hall for receptions for up to 1000 guests, or used as a dinner space in its own right for up to 200 guests.
London Ellipse Hall
Perfect for award ceremonies, celebrations and presentations, the London Ellipse Hall holds receptions for up to 600 guests and dinners for up to 400 guests. Choose from endless possibilities of showstates on the 48-metre long circular LED ellipse suspended from the ceiling, from a twinkling chandelier to a bespoke commission with interactive social media features.
Galleries
The award-winning galleries tell the amazing story of the world’s most exciting city and its people have all been designed with events in mind, from receptions for 200 guests, or intimate dinners for 20. Enchant your guests with the starlit ambience of the 18th century Pleasure Gardens, or dine next to the original Art Deco lift from Selfridges in the People’s City Gallery.
The London 2012 Cauldron
The Museum of London’s newest gallery Designing a Moment: The London 2012 Cauldron is now available for hire. This is a unique opportunity to give your guests exclusive access to the London 2012 Cauldron as part of your evening event, which came accommodate receptions for up to 70 guests, or dinners for up to 50 guests.
Weston Theatre
The Weston Theatre is a purpose built lecture theatre providing a high spec venue for presentations, award ceremonies, evening lectures and screenings for up to 230 guests. It is fully equipped with PA, data projector, screen, lectern and an in-house technician. The Theatre also offers full blackout facilities, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and wheelchair access.
Terrace Gallery

Garden Room
Adjacent to the Terrace Gallery, the Garden Room is a tranquil light filled space with capacity for up to 60 guests for dinner. The two rooms can also be combined with the private garden and terrace to create a reception space for up to 250 guests.
