Complete with real sand, a beach-hut style thatched roof, delicious cocktails, palm trees and a backdrop of a beautiful beach, you’ll feel like you’re basking in the Bahamas rather than in the heart of central London. Our photo booth is the perfect place for pictures – and when you use #SurfMontague you’ll be in with a chance of winning a luxury escape to Guernsey for two people, including flights.

To get you in the summertime spirit our Chef serves a delicious range of BBQ options including meat, fish and vegetarian dishes followed by a tasty line-up of tempting desserts including assorted ice creams in cones. Cocktails are served in coconuts on arrival, alongside a superb selection of wine, beers and spirits. Guests also have the added option of unlimited drinks packages.

Our flexible spaces can accommodate parties of up to 200 guests and the Great Russell Suite is available for DJ and dancing into the night, complete with a built-in dance floor and private bar.
THE MONTAGUE STREET GARDENS
Unlocking a secret garden
Hidden within the heart of London, behind discrete yet magnificent black iron gates embossed with the gilded Bedford crest, sits a magical garden, undiscovered and truly private.
The Montague Street Gardens is officially opening its gates to corporate and private events. The gardens are a stone’s throw from the iconic British Museum (just a five-minute walk from Russell Square tube station), yet create the sense of an English country garden.
The space has a magical feel to it, characterised by its swirling garden paths and lush lawns which are overhung by mature trees. The gardens benefit from immaculate daily upkeep by the Bedford Estates’ gardeners and even have their very own bee hives.
The gardens can hold a maximum of 250 for a standing reception and between 180 and 200 for a seated dinner.
