Middle Temple Venue Hire EC4

Located in the heart of London’s legal quarter, Middle Temple Hall is one of the four ancient Inns of Court. Just a few minutes from Fleet Street, The Strand and Embankment and overlooking the river Thames, the secluded environment lends itself to corporate and private events.

Middle Temple Hall was built between 1562 and 1573 and remains virtually unchanged to this day having survived the Great Fire of London and both World Wars. Middle Temple continues to service the legal profession today, and also houses some of the most imposing event space in London available for formal dinners, weddings, meetings, receptions, corporate events, garden parties and outdoor functions.

Did you know? The first recorded performance of Twelfth Night took place in Middle Temple Hall on 2nd February 1602.

The Hall at Middle Temple is one of the finest examples of an Elizabethan hall in the country with a double hammer beam roof carved from the oak of Windsor Forest and an elaborately carved screen made in 1574. The Hall offers a dramatic backdrop for corporate receptions, formal dinners and wedding receptions accommodating up to 500 people. It can be configured in a wide variety of layouts to suit individual requirements.

It is still the centre of life for the Inn today as Bench, Bar and Students meet there daily for lunch. It is possible to pre-book lunch to experience these impressive surroundings. The Bench Apartments comprise three additional rooms available for corporate and private events within Middle Temple Hall; the Parliament Chamber, Queen’s Room and Prince’s Room. Each with their own individual character, they offer the ideal setting for theatre style meetings for up to 85 delegates or boardroom style for 52.

The Queen’s Room is perfect for a private dinner party for up to 22 or for a larger occasion the Parliament Chamber accommodates 70. The Bench Apartments can also be used as an area for drinks and canapés preceding a formal dinner in the Hall.

The Parliament Chamber, Queen’s Room, The Hall and Prince’s Room are also licensed to hold wedding and civil partnership ceremonies which can be combined with an elegant wedding breakfast and reception in the Garden or the Hall.

Give your guests time to linger in our award-winning garden, or take in the relaxing atmosphere of the Fountain Court. To ensure that your garden party won’t be hindered by the British weather, an all-weather marquee can be hired via an accredited supplier.

Our seasonal menus are filled with freshly prepared dishes that are sure to delight your taste buds. We offer a private dinner service, which can be served in the Queen’s Room, Prince’s Room, Parliament Chamber or The Hall depending on the size of your party. A bespoke menu served with astutely matched wines will ensure your evening a delightful success.
