Mansion House Meetings and Events
The magnificent Grade 1 listed Mansion House built in 1739, by Architect George Dance the Elder, is the home and office of the Lord Mayor of the City of London.
The Palladian style building provides a spectacular setting for business meetings, civic and livery activity, conferences, receptions and dinners; and is also home to a wonderful plate and art collection. The versatile event spaces available on both the first and second floors, are available for private hire and exclusive use.
With a number of rooms and layout options available, Mansion House can accommodate events from 10 up to 500 guests. The Egyptian Hall, based on designs by the classical Roman architect Vitruvius of Roman buildings in Egypt, can host dinners for 350 guests in an striking long table format.
Originally designed to be a roofless courtyard, the Salon area of Mansion House now provides a large reception space under a stunning row of crystal chandeliers.
The interlinking North and South Drawing Rooms showcase a scheme of decoration inspired by descriptions from the mid-19th century, when the suite of chairs and sofas known as the Nile Suite (c.1803 to commemorate Nelson’s sea victories) were first used to furnish these stately rooms. The Drawing Rooms provide an intimate setting for part of the Harold Samuel Collection of Dutch and Flemish paintings.

Directly opposite the Drawing Rooms is the Long Parlour, probably the room least changed, it is primarily used for business meetings and dinners. The present furnishings and decoration are designed to recall the mid-18th century character of the room.
The mood of the Old Ballroom, located on the second floor of Mansion House is light and airy throughout with an abundance of elaborate plasterwork representing musical instruments and carved timber ornament. It is used for meetings, conferences and dinners.
