Step past our gates on Newman Street, away from the bustle of central London and enter into a different state of mind. Every aspect of The Mandrake has been curated and designed to offer an immersive and unforgettable experience. From our three-story-high surrounding walls of jasmine and passionflower, that form the living heart of the hotel, to our priceless and eclectic art collection that includes works from the likes of Salvador Dali, Francesco Clemente and Jonas Burgert.
We encourage our guests to stay beyond themselves; to visit our Global award-winning Jurema terrace with adjoining glasshouse apothecary, try Waeska bar for an Ethnobotanical cocktail or dine on locally sourced cuisine in YOPO. Our Cultural Programming, designed to ensure you ‘Stay Beyond Yourself’, include our Artist in Residence (AiR) and our Spiritual Wellbeing programmes.

Our 34 luxurious bedrooms, including three suites and award-winning penthouse, allow you to cocoon and relax in opulent style. Each room has its own style with a unique, exclusive art piece created and curated for each space.
EAT & DRINK
Our destination bars, Waeska and Jurema, offer ethnobotanical cocktails unlike any others found in the city and our restaurant, YOPO, lead by Head Chef George Scott-Toft, is a South American inspired feast of culture and cuisine that is not to be missed.
Events are at the very heart of The Mandrake and we have hosted some spectacular ones. From intimate two-person dinners in the Greenhouse to fashion trunk shows in The Penthouse, screenings and DJ sets in the Theatre and entire hotel takeovers – we have done it all.

The Private Dining Room is an exquisite, red lacquered room in which 27 individual paint processes have created an extraordinary setting that is both distinguished and dramatic. It is ideal for dinner, lunch or even breakfast. The Private Dining Room can also be reserved at any other time of day for meetings or discussions.

WAESKA BAR
Waeska bar’s design is extraordinary and has retractable glass doors opening onto a private courtyard. Waeska has launched a new menu of plant-inspired cocktails. The menu is founded on Ethnobotany; the study of a region’s plants and their practical uses through the traditional knowledge of local cultures. Through experimentation and extensive research on ancient herbs and botanicals, the Waeska bar team demonstrates its perpetual quest for originality, aiming to always inspire and surprise its discerning and adventurous customers.

JUREMA
At the heart of The Mandrake Jurema, designed by world renowned landscape architects Bureau Bas Smets. Jurema won Best Outdoor Space at the Global AHEAD Awards in 2019.
Welcome to a laid-back cabana affair surrounded by a lush, evergreen sanctuary of hanging passionflower and jasmine plants with a wooden shack-style bar and feel-good summer-time cocktails.
