L’Oscar Hotel Venue Hire
While original biblical Doulton terracotta panels still line the walls, simple pleasures are amplified with bespoke scents by Roja Dove, and leather and velvet-draped walls, as L’oscar now celebrates a more sensual devotion. Uniquely sophisticated, the hotel sits in the heart of London’s Southampton Row, within a whisper of the city, Theatreland, Soho, and the West End.
In an irony Oscar Wilde would have appreciated, a place of piety that has been transformed into a place of decadence.
L’oscar London is the perfect venue for your intimate wedding and romantic reception. The epitome of opulence for meetings, gatherings, celebrations or weddings, with three of London’s most atmospheric and beautiful private dining and event spaces.Packages
Unique rooms of historical significance
L’oscar London has three private event rooms which are all unique spaces for larger parties, intimate dinners, meetings, private events and weddings. Each room has many original features and a level of craftsmanship that exemplifies the Arts & Crafts era.
The Committee Room
Located on the first floor, The Committee Room is steeped in history. It features an original fireplace, a vaulted hand plastered ceiling and a Royal Doulton terracotta plaque carved in 1903. The formality of the oak panelled walls is wonderfully offset by the large, playful peacock painting, the Lalique bird lights and the bespoke furnishings.

Whether catering for a luncheon, reception or sit-down dinner, we have a menu to match every occasion – or you can create your own.
Devoted to the Divine
The hotel has been created from a Baroque-style, grade II* listed former church in Holborn, a grand literary hub, and the centre of a thriving mix of bars, shops and restaurants that forms part of the city’s coolest high-end district.
Imagination and attention to detail is woven into the fabric of L’oscar, from the sumptuously-decorated bedrooms, velvet and leather interiors, exquisitely-unique champagne coupes, crystal butterfly wing taps and seven-storey chandelier.
Located on the ground floor, L’oscar Restaurant is the bustling heart of the hotel, with its illuminated onyx bar and decor inspired
by the world’s oldest café in Venice, with walls and ceilings lined with mirrors, gilded panels, and stunning original art.
L’oscar offers all the charm and sophistication of a Parisian café. A food lover’s lair, it is the go-to place for delectable breakfasts,
bistro-style lunches, and intimate evening dining, or simply a late-night dessert and a soothing glass of wine.
