The Little Ship Club is the Yacht Club of the City of London and enjoys a fantastic riverside location right next to Southwark Bridge. The club, with its quirky blend of sailing history and tradition, combined with first-class equipment, full catering facilities and rooms for every occasion, will enhance your event.

Nowhere surpasses the riverside views from the Club Room and Dining Room.

Large windows and doors can be opened to allow access to a decking area and the Thames Path. Guests will love the relaxed atmosphere created by the Chesterfield sofas, calm colour, distinctive oil paintings, combined with historical sailing mementos add to the traditional ambience of the Club. Parties work brilliantly here due to the open plan layout of the venue.

Our on-site team will make sure that your every need is catered for and that each guest leaves having enjoyed a truly memorable evening at this stunning summer party venue. A magical jazz quartet or saxophonist would add the finishing touch to the evening, entertaining guests as a sumptuous feast is created especially for you.

A little bit of history:
Our Blue Defaced Ensign was awarded by the Admiralty in 1938 in recognition of our training of Royal Naval reserve officers. Today we offer these same fine standards with our RYA shore-based training courses. Gain invaluable knowledge delivered by experienced trainers to excellent standards.


Sailing history and tradition come to life at the Little Ship Club, through its architecture, décor, ambience and amazing riverside location on the banks of the Thames between Southwark Bridge and London Bridge. The club’s rooms befit all occasions, and there are show-stopping river views to be found throughout. First class chefs provide highly innovative cuisine in light and airy surroundings. A car park adjacent to the venue means there is always plenty of parking for your guests.

Rooms or the whole club can be hired for a Full Day (8 hours) or Half Day/Evening (4 hours) with an extra charge for additional hours.

The Dining Room provides a beautiful environment to wine and dine your guests. The versatile space can also successfully accommodate a theatre style AGM for up to 90 delegates, offering inspiration with its outstanding views of the River Thames. Large windows provide ample natural day light and impressive views of Southwark Bridge. The dining room can be hired by itself or together with the adjacent Club Room and bar.

The Claud Worth Room is an ideal venue for a private luncheon, dinner, small meeting or seminar. It is conveniently located next to the Dining Room with connecting doors and can be hired in conjunction with the Dining Room, Club Room or as part of a Whole Club hire.

The Library offers a flexible space, able to accommodate guests theatre style, board room style, or on round tables. With its modern inbuilt audiovisual equipment it’s an excellent choice for any number of corporate events, and with windows overlooking the River Thames, it provides a tranquil and pleasant atmosphere whatever the occasion.

The Club Room is a delightful, airy space overlooking the river with large windows and doors which can be opened to allow direct access to the Thames Path. Leather upholstery, distinctive oil paintings, and historical sailing mementos add to the nautical ambience of the Club.
