Set within 11 acres of tranquil surroundings amongst ‘old Legal London’ architecture, the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn is the largest and oldest of the four Inns of Court dating back to 1422, and provides the perfect setting for your festive event.
Whether it is the magnificence of the Old Hall, one of the finest Tudor buildings in London, or the grandeur of the Great Hall, designed by the eminent architect Philip Hardwick, the rooms available to hire at Lincoln’s Inn provide the most unique backdrop to a splendid Christmas Party.

Special Events
The eleven acre private estate of Lincoln’s Inn offers a range of versatile event spaces suitable for exhibitions, trade fairs and product launches. We welcome large scale bespoke events that require multiple formats across multiple venues.

Conferences & Meetings
If you are looking for an intimate meeting room for focused discussion or a large conference space for blue sky thinking, Lincoln’s Inn offers a range of options to suit your needs. The Inn’s historic rooms; the Great Hall, Old Hall and Old Court Room can add an air of gravitas to your event. Our lecture theatre with adjacent meeting rooms in the Ashworth Centre offers a stylish contemporary event setting.
We can accommodate small meetings from ten guests up to a conference for 300 delegates.
The Great Hall & Bench Rooms
Opened in 1845 by Queen Victoria, the Great Hall is considered to be one of the most distinguished buildings designed by Philip Hardwick working in the Tudor Revival style. On the north wall is a huge and magnificent fresco executed by G.F. Watts, the Pre-Raphaelite painter, showing the world’s law givers from Moses to Edward I. Your guests also have access to the Bench Rooms & Upper Vestibule which are used as pre-dinner reception areas. The imposing wooden doors are then opened to reveal the magnificence of the Great Hall where guests are invited to dine.
The Old Hall & Crypt
Dating back to 1490, the Old Hall is a wonderful example of beautifully maintained Tudor architecture and has many notable features including the wooden screen at the south end, designed by Inigo Jones, and Hogarth’s painting of “Paul before Felix” on the North wall. The Crypt beneath the Old Hall was for centuries used for storage of fuel, food and wine. Now the brick groin vaulting has been restored to its former glory and is used as a reception area.

Awards & Ceremonies
The lavish surroundings of Lincoln’s Inn lend themselves perfectly to award ceremonies; it is in fact in the Great Hall where our own student barristers graduate. From intimate ceremonies in our purpose-built modern Lecture Theatre to prestigious awards dinners with entertainment in our Great Hall, we have a range of venue options to make this a truly memorable day.
Award dinners for up to 200, awards receptions for up to 450 and theatre style events for up to 300 can be accommodated within these magnificent buildings.
