House of Barnabas Venue Hire
Our unique private members’ club is a home from home in a Grade I listed Georgian townhouse located in the heart of Soho, London. The club exists to bring together a community of people who are invested in creating a fair and equal society, whilst breaking the cycle of homelessness through our integrated Employment Academy. The House on the corner of Soho Square is a place where our members can expect to connect, discuss, create and exchange ideas, in fact, we encourage and enable it.
INSIDE THE CLUB…
A private members club in London’s Soho filled with music, art and culture for members to relax, work and play.
We encourage and enable our members to connect, discuss, create and exchange ideas. Our diverse programme of members’ events includes intimate live music performances, regular DJ sets, tastings, interview with people of note, crafty workshops to refine or unleash your skills, first-class festivities to celebrate those special occasions, plus comedy, poetry and theatre.
Retreat and rest, bring friends and colleagues or seek inspiration and a new train of thought. Surround yourself with a changing roster of beautiful and thought–provoking contemporary art, and an eclectic genre and decade hopping club soundtrack.

The House of St Barnabas offers inspiring private dining spaces within our beautiful Grade I Listed townhouse.
Enjoy a relaxed, informal evening and delicious dishes prepared by our Chef.

OUR CLUB OFFERS INSPIRATIONAL AND UNIQUE ROOMS FOR PRIVATE HIRE IN THE HEART OF SOHO
We have a range of beautiful historic rooms that are available for your parties, corporate events, celebrations and dinners. 100% of the surplus venue hire fee goes directly towards supporting the Employment Academy within our private members’ club and helps us on our mission to break the cycle of homelessness. From meetings to drinks receptions to exclusive venue takeovers, we would love to help create your perfect event. All of our spaces are also available upon request for photography and filming.

We’re able to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. No matter how formal or informal your plans, our Head Chef and hospitality team can provide a menu that works for you – including excellent vegan and vegetarian options, plus fresh herbs grown in very our own garden.
Whether your culinary style is croissants and coffee, beers and bowl food or a lavish sit-down dinner, we’ll work with you to create an unforgettable menu.
THE SOHO ROOM
Our beautiful and airy Soho Room has been redecorated by the team at Liberty of London and is perfect for larger boardroom meetings.

Overlooking Soho Square and featuring dramatic 18th century rococo plasterwork, the Drawing Room is an excellent space for larger drink receptions and parties, networking, corporate events and functions.

THE SILK ROOM
The Georgian Silk Room is the club’s main boardroom, taking its name from its original 19th century wall coverings. With the beautiful board table as its centrepiece, the room offers members and non-members alike a discreet and striking space to meet by day or dine by night.

THE DICKENS ROOM
Named after Charles Dickens in recognition of the historical connection between the House and A Tale of Two Cities, the Dickens Room is a warm and inviting hire space that lends itself perfectly to large private dinners, for celebrations or “just because”.

THE BAZALGETTE ROOM
Once the office of Sir Joseph Bazalgette and now redecorated by the team at Liberty of London, this room provides a historical yet quirky setting for smaller corporate events, networking, meetings, photoshoots and filming.

THE MONRO ROOM
It was in 1846 that Dr Henry Monro, a young physician and lawyer, first established the ‘House of Charity’. The inviting warmth and gently spotlit art in our stylish Monro Room make this corner of our club the perfect space for intimate soirées.
The Monro Room is also available to hire in conjunction with the Garden Room for larger standing functions.

THE GLYNNE ROOM
The Glynne Room is named after Catherine Gladstone (née Glynne). Catherine laid the foundation stone in our Chapel, and in her lifetime established the concept of free convalescent homes. This spacious and bright meeting room is our main boardroom space at the House – with its plasma screen and natural light, it is the perfect venue to hire for corporate meetings.

THE GARDEN ROOM
The Garden Room is airy, bright and nature-themed and comes equipped with its very own disco ball. It’s the perfect spot for a drinks reception or party – and maybe some dancing too! The space also enjoys direct (but non-exclusive) access to the largest private garden in Soho.
The Garden Room is available to hire in conjunction with the Monro Room for larger functions.

THE COURTYARD GARDEN
Why not take advantage of the largest private garden in Soho?
Our secluded courtyard garden, made famous by Charles Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities, is the perfect space for you to enjoy a cocktail, or coffee, in the sun.
