Hellenic Centre London Venue Hire W1

The Hellenic Centre is situated in one of the most charming and sought after areas of London in the heart of Marylebone.

This beautiful red brick and Portland stone building, with its unique history, began life in the 1900s as Swedish gymnastics college and served as a Swedish War Hospital for the British wounded during WW1. In 1992 the Hellenic Community trust acquired the building and after a sensitive and elegant conversion, the Hellenic Centre opened as a cultural centre in 1994.

The Hellenic Centre is a hidden gem situated in London’s fashionable Marylebone. Housed in elegant, light and spacious premises, the Centre is ideal for all events especially those special celebrations… weddings, bar/bat mitzvah’s, christenings and birthdays! The versatility of the spaces allow you to have separately themed rooms and your own personal touch to the event.

The building’s many light and airy spaces make it an ideal London venue for all kinds of bussiness, professional, cultural and social events, from concerts to conferences and weddings to fashion shows.

Its centrepiece is the extraordinary high-ceilinged Great Hall, which can accommodate up to 200 guests. This galleried white-walled space allows great creative flexibility for both professional and personal celebrations.

Packages

The Hellenic Centre is situated in the heart of Marylebone, one of the most charming and tranquil areas of Central London and housed within an impressive 20th Century building of red brick and Portland stone.

Since 1994 it has been the backdrop to a variety of corporate and social events from fashion shows, product launches, Christmas parties, film screenings, weddings and high end conferences to more intimate meetings, presentations and private dinners. The venue boasts a range of well-equipped rooms and event spaces which can be hired individually or together for exclusive use.

Its centrepiece is the extraordinary Great Hall with high ceilings, natural daylight, free wi-fi, and modern AV technology. This galleried white walled blank canvas allows ultimate flexibility in adding your own branded stamp or identity to the event.

Further information

The Great Hall at the Hellenic Centre is a versatile venue, a blank canvas that can be adapted to a wide range of social or corporate events; it’s a large, neutral white space with high ceilings and natural daylight from above.

Hire of the Great Hall also includes the spacious Balcony – a mezzanine floor which offers a view down on events taking place in the Great Hall itself. The Balcony can be used for facilitating purposes or as a break out room for up to 15 people.

The Friends and Members Room, situated on the ground floor, is a light and airy space with high ceilings. It is an ideal space for a conference or a creative workshop as well as cocktail reception for up to 100 guests, standing.

The two rooms can be separated with bi-folding doors to accommodate smaller meetings or a breakout space. They can also be hired together with the additional interlinking spaces on the ground floor, ideal as an extension to events taking place in the Great Hall.

The walls of this space are offered to Hellenic Centre Members who want to present their art work
