This Grade ll listed building was purpose built by the General Medical Council as their headquarters and to host their conferences and tribunals. In 2009 Cavendish Venues converted the building into a facility ideal for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, training seminars, product launches and much more besides.
Situated in the West End, adjacent to the BBC and the Langham hotel. This Conference Centre is a haven of tranquillity and excellence having been the recipient of numerous customer service standard awards.The venue has 8 different event spaces which are very flexible. This includes the double height Council Chamber, which boasts a capacity of up to 140 people in cabaret style seating whilst up to 250 people in theatre style can be accommodated in a sound proofed, daylight strewn room with audio and visual equipment suitable for international events. There is an array of different sized rooms at the Hallam perfect for small or large meetings and events and with a superbly experienced management team in place there is something to suit every meeting need.
The Hallam Conference Centre is equipped to a standard benchmarked by the Cavendish Centre, yet this venue has been fine tuned to the buildings environment. Modern PA systems, recording equipment and ultra-dynamic projection systems ensure successful events in the buildings main Council Chamber. We have Ethernet, wireless LAN connections for external communications and visual fold back is provided for presentations ease. Our Web Streaming and Rich Media services complement our core audio visual support services and the Hallam Conference Centre has an in-house audio visual department at your disposal with a ready supply of the latest presentation equipment for your event. The entire conference facility is covered by free wireless internet accessibility.
