Haberdashers’ Hall Venue Hire EC1

Nestled in a secluded spot in West Smithfield, one of London’s newest Livery Halls houses one of its oldest Companies. Haberdashers’ Hall is a true one-of-a-kind venue which seamlessly fuses the avant-garde with stately tradition. Designed by celebrated British Architect Sir Michael Hopkins, Haberdashers’ Hall combines modern architecture and state of the art technology with traditional materials and building skills to form a 21st century venue of the finest quality and highest standards. New uncontended high speed Ethernet Internet Access is available for webcasts and video conferencing. Take advantage of the opportunities presented to add webcasts and video conferencing at your event at our most high tech Livery Hall.

Haberdashers’ Hall has 6 brilliant event spaces to choose from:

  • Livery Hall – The Livery Hall leads from the Reception Gallery and is the largest and most impressive room at Haberdashers’ Hall. With a magnificent high vaulted ceiling, oak panelled walls and views of the Courtyard, the Livery Hall is a modern space which conveys the ambience and all the gravitas of a Medieval banqueting hall and makes the perfect setting for any event.
  • Courtyard and Orangery – The Hall is built around a secluded Courtyard which boasts a modern sculptural water feature and forms a focal point for the whole building. The Orangery on the ground floor level is decorated with sculptures and citrus trees and looks out to the Courtyard. Together they offer serenity both inside and out and the ideal location for receptions and summer parties.
  • Reception Gallery-  A stone spiral staircase leads up from the Orangery to the first floor Reception Gallery which features vast windows and can accommodate receptions for guests with the Courtyard as a backdrop.
  • Court Room-  Three highly versatile rooms lead from the Reception Gallery. The unusual and dramatic semi-circular Court Room is the largest of these rooms and can accommodate guests for a special lunch or dinner. Alternatively this bright and airy space, featuring a woven carpet centrepiece, can be used as a break out space for larger conferences.
  • Committee Room –  The Committee Room interconnects with the Court Room and can be used for private meetings or for receptions before dining in the Court Room. The room features a glazed ceiling offering natural daylight and striking stained glass windows.
  • Luncheon Room-  The Luncheon Room contains decorative panelling and ancient table from the previous Haberdashers’ Hall, with a dramatic marble fireplace as a focal point, and provides a warm intimate atmosphere for small lunches or dinners.
Packages

Haberdashers’ Hall is the perfect venue for your Christmas party. The Courtyard glitters with fairy lights reflected in the sculptural fountain’s flow of water – a festive, welcoming sight. Upstairs, a beautifully decorated Christmas tree stands in the Reception Gallery, where the pre-dinner drinks reception takes place.

For dinner, guests are led under high vaulted ceilings to the magnificent oak-panelled Livery Hall, a modern interpretation of a medieval banqueting hall, where tables for a three-course meal are decorated with candles, festive centrepieces and crackers. Or you could opt for a selection of small plates and bowls, or food stalls with a Christmas market/winter wonderland theme.

After dinner, the party continues with a DJ and dancefloor; other entertainment options include a live band, pianist, carol singers, Christmas ballerinas, light jugglers and flaming torches – contact our catering partners at Graysons to discuss your Christmas party to end all parties.

From the moment you walk through Haberdashers’ Hall’s grand iron gates your attention is focussed on the tranquil courtyard garden, with its beautiful modern water feature, hand-cut lawn and fabulous array of sculptures (Henry Moore, Lynn Chadwick, Eduardo Paolozzi).

The large, light-filled Orangery’s floor-to-ceiling windows open directly onto the garden, enabling up to 450 guests throughout. Catering options include a barbecue (beef burgers, pulled pork baps, Marrakesh chicken skewers, Cumberland sausage dog, jackfruit and halloumi burger), food stalls (Smithfield Market, Billingsgate Market, Covent Garden, Pudding Lane) and bowl food; wine chosen by our sommelier, delicious cocktails. Giant courtyard games, classic bunting, cocktail making and DJs are all available, but if none of that’s quite right, just ask Graysons and the team there will work with you on a bespoke package.

Further information

Haberdashers’ Hall is one of London’s finest conference and meeting venues. The modern, architect-designed building is situated around an internal courtyard, complete with sculptural fountain and hand-cut lawn – a rare find in the heart of the City.

The adjoining Orangery offers a light and airy space for registration, meet and greet, exhibition space and arrival refreshments. The Livery Hall, the largest and most impressive conference space, with oak panelled walls, high vaulted ceilings and views of the Courtyard, leads directly from the Reception Gallery. Three additional rooms, all on the same floor, create the flexibility for break-out space or green rooms. Two of these rooms interconnect.

All spaces lead from the Reception Gallery, creating a central zone for networking, catering and exhibition stands. Haberdashers’ Hall is exclusively hired, allowing you to make the venue your own.
