Maximum 90 delegates
If you want a room that will not only impress your guests but give you breathtaking views across the Pentland Hills then our Macmillan Room is perfect. It is wonderfully light and airy, decorated in shades of Wedgwood blue and grey, with intricate decorative plasterwork and breathtaking open views right across the zoo. With an antique fireplace and chandelier it’s the ideal location for a drinks reception or celebratory meal

Our Geddes and Gillespie Rooms can be set up as two separate rooms or joined together to make one large L shaped function suite. The two rooms combine to become one magnificent oak panelled room with views across the park and direct access to our gardens. For large formal meetings you can have a work area on one side with a networking and lunch area on the other. If younger children are present they can play in the gardens while the adults do the serious work inside. If the meeting is more informal and you would like some evening entertainment then it is ideal for a work/dining area on one side with a dance floor and DJ, band or ceilidh band on the other.

Holding a more intimate celebration and want to give it a touch of class? Our elegant library boardroom can seat up to 20 delegates in sumptuous leather chairs that they will sink straight into. The antique look of the room with traditional mahogany table and selection of books lends an elegant and luxurious atmosphere that is perfect for board meetings, trustees and anyone else you want to impress, even the in-laws!
Budongo Lecture Theatre
Maximum 165 delegates
Do you want to leave your delegates talking about your event all year round? With a great view of the most popular chimp enclosure our Budongo Lecture Theatre can hold up to 170 delegates theatre style. If you require a PowerPoint presentation the room is perfect as it has a fully integrated AV system which you are welcome to use free of charge.Packages
Conferences and meetings
Give your delegates a day to remember by hosting your event with us in one of our unique venues based within Edinburgh Zoo. You will not only impress your delegates but ensure they have a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Combine your company business with one or more of our exciting animal-related experiences on offer from the Zoo Education staff, such as an animal handling, a team building trial or a talk on an animal species of our choice. Who would forget a conference that included coming face to face with a python or a tarantula?

Team Building With Bite
Every team building event that we run is created especially for you and your team. We have partnered with Team Building With Bite to provide team building unlike anything you have experienced before. From the moment you contact us we will endeavour to find out exactly what you want to get from your day. Using this information, along with the workshop duration and the number of people involved, we will plan an activity that meets your needs.
Working with the animal keepers here at Edinburgh Zoo, we will design devices that will bring your group together as a team, in addition to enhancing the environment of the animals you will be working with. The chosen species can remain a surprise for you on the day, or we can let you know in advance, the choice is yours. Upon arrival at the workshop venue you will be introduced to your instructors who will give you background information on the species you will be working with and a safety briefing on the tools you will be using. We will then assign you your project, and you will have a set amount of time for your team to work together to create it.
The finished results will then be taken to the animal enclosure and you will have the satisfaction of seeing your hard work put to the ultimate test! Will the animals use, eat, or destroy your efforts?!

Edinburgh Zoo Gardens
For something really different, why not hold your party or ceremony somewhere in the Zoo itself, alongside your favourite animal? You could take your vows within our beautifully kept Gardens, or on top of the African Plains with views to Arthur’s seat; assuming it’s a good day of course, if not we have Mansion House as a backup.
