Chiswell Street Dining Rooms is in the heart of the City and just a stone’s throw from the Barbican, Europe’s largest performing arts centre. It is a classically styled restaurant spread over a number of rooms and floors that is perfect for parties and private dining. Each room is adorned with beautiful art, gorgeous decor and lit by large windows.

Housed within the famous old Whitbread Brewery building, now the Montcalm City 5 star hotel, the restaurant and bar has been has an elegant and luxurious feel designed to bring country living to the City. Buffets for up to 200 guests can be easily accommodated with exclusive use of the entire restaurant and bar, allowing guests to sample the specialist beers on offer and wines curated to show the best of the new and old world.

With a variety of different meeting room spaces available for 10 to 300 guests across the venue, Chiswell Street Dining Rooms can host a range of events, including breakfasts, private dinners, conferences, receptions and parties.

The Rooms:
THE SNUG – This secluded space at the back of the main restaurant area has luxurious banquettes and art-adorned walls. It is ideal for private dining for up to 20 people.

GRUBB STREET – A classic setting for private breakfasts, lunch and dinners for up to 12 people seated, this private room features Georgian panelled walls, vintage distressed mirrors, handcrafted oak floors and artwork by renown artists such as Tracey Emin and John Hoyland.

THE SAMUEL ROOM – On the ground floor of the hotel with views overlooking the old Brewery’s cobbled courtyard. It can be opened up to seat up to 53 for dinner or divided into 3 rooms for 10 guests in each.

THE MELVILLE ROOM – Overlooking Chiswell Street and boasting a beautiful chandelier, the Melville can seat up to 33 guests for dinner and 50 for a reception.

THE WORSELY ROOM – Best suited for medium sized dinners and parties of up to 26 seated and 35 standing, the room has an original Grade I listed timber feature from the old brewery office.

THE CORNWALLIS ROOM – The largest of the private rooms is an elegant and stylish space for private dining for up to 70 people or receptions and private parties of up to 120 that is ideal for dancing with a band or DJ until 2am.
