Our historic London venue offers a beautiful backdrop to a whole host of events including conferences, parties, weddings, awards ceremonies and meetings. BMA House in Tavistock Square is a stunning, Grade II listed building which was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1911 and has been home to the British Medical Association since 1925. Recently updated with state-of-the-art AV facilities, our spaces offer guests an inspiring environment in which to meet, work and mingle. We also have two large outdoor areas – an impressive Courtyard and a tranquil botanical Garden – a rare find for such a central location.
Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, this Grade II-listed building in the grounds of what was once the home of Charles Dickens has been the base for the British Medical Association since 1925. Well placed for King’s Cross and the Eurostar, the venue has 22 elegant rooms available for weddings, banqueting, and meetings. The largest room is the rather majestic Great Hall, which comes with good AV facilities and space for 320 standing guests. Smaller rooms include the brand new Worcester Room, which has plenty of natural daylight and views of the venue’s striking courtyard. The peaceful botanical garden adds further appeal.

Outdoor summer party venue London
BMA House is a sophisticated and stylish setting for summer parties.
It’s a rarity to find a venue in central London that offers not one, but two outdoors spaces, and BMA House is proud to be able to offer the luxury of choice. Whether you prefer an elegant Courtyard setting or like the idea of a lush botanical Garden, you can pick the backdrop that best suits your brief.
The Courtyard can accommodate up to 320 guests, whilst the Garden is suitable for smaller groups of up to 90. However, this is still the British Summertime and you need a contingency in case of the worst – so, as standard, we offer one of our spacious indoor options as a back-up to all summer parties. From the first enquiry to the finishing touches, you can count on your dedicated event planner to be on hand and make sure your party runs smoothly. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the evening.
Party Packages
For 2021, our summer party package is themed on ‘Summer Oasis’. Starting from just £69pp + VAT, enjoy a fiery BBQ with delicious mains, vibrant salads and tempting desserts. Once you make your pick, you can customise it to your ideal specification, adding:
A gin bar with gin magicians
A live band or DJ and dance floor
A photobooth with props
A live caricaturist
Or a host of other extras.
