Three magnificent function rooms are nestled within our 15 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and offer the ideal setting for lunches, dinners, conferences, receptions and weddings. This tranquil setting is easily accessible and close to all major road and rail links, though you’ll no doubt find it hard to believe that you’re so close to the centre of Birmingham! Each event space is reached through the glasshouses of the Gardens, ensuring that your guests are immersed in the splendour of the setting from the moment that they arrive. During the warmer months, drinks receptions can be enjoyed al fresco, set on the external terraces which overlook the graceful landscaped scenery. Birmingham Botanical Gardens also lends itself perfectly to all manner of professional and private events, the choice of three varied events spaces making it a highly versatile and flexible venue.

If you’re a big believer in the positive impact of the surrounding environment on information retention and absorption of knowledge, then the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is the perfect setting to host your conference or event. Naturally beautiful, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens is a little section of paradise in an urban metropolis. With three magnificent function rooms nestled within our 15 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, each accessed via the stunning glasshouses of the Gardens, your guests will be immersed in the tranquillity of the setting from the moment that they arrive. Guests will find it hard to believe that they’re so close to the centre of Birmingham, yet this peaceful setting is easily accessible and close to all major road and rail links.

The venue has 3 main event spaces:

  • Loudon Suite- The Loudon Suite is an exquisite Victorian style dining room which offers sweeping views across the Gardens, and is perfect for smaller events and meetings for up to 60 guests. The adjoining veranda and conservatory, which overlooks the Japanese Gardens, provide a lovely location for pre-dinner receptions or a perfect space for catering.
  • Garden Suite-The Garden Suite is approached through the magnificent Tropical House and Terrace Glasshouses, and is the ideal choice for large events, accommodating up to 432 guests for a sit down dinner or up to 350 for a theatre style conference. The stage area, complete with private dressing room, is a real boon for all types of entertainment, and the Suite also has its own private bar area, the Palm Lounge, which can also be used for guest registration and catering breaks.
  • Terrace Suite- With its own private entrance from the Cacti House, the Terrace Suite is a superb choice for drinks receptions of up to 300 people or dining for up to 192 guests. This elegant space was originally the ballroom for the Gardens and is traditionally decorated, with a domed ceiling and sprung dance floor.  With natural daylight this room is a good option for daytime meetings and conferences.  The room boasts its own bar with lounge area, in-built PA system, stage and dressing room.

Our three event spaces give you a range of options for your event, whether you are planning a large-scale conference, a relaxed meeting for a small group, or a grand gala evening or awards ceremony. Each room benefits from plenty of natural daylight and inspiring surroundings.

Your guests will receive complimentary access to the Gardens, allowing for breaks every bit as stimulating and inspiring as the event itself.

The Terrace Suite can accommodate up to 250 people. This elegant setting offers a built in bar and sprung dance floor for evening entertaining, and throughout the day the space is flooded with natural light. The space is ideal for daytime meetings and conferences, summer barbecues, gala dinners and receptions, and Christmas parties.

Garden Suite

This light and airy room is ideal for larger events, accommodating up to 500. It’s a highly functional suite that can be divided into three rooms, offering conference, exhibition, catering and breakout space for meetings and events. In the evening, the suite is ideal for gala dinners and awards events, and also lends itself perfectly to Christmas parties. Hire includes access to the Palm Lounge, the suite’s private bar area and the perfect location for drinks receptions or registration.
