In the heart of the City of London, with excellent national and international transport links, the Barbican is Europe’s largest combined arts and events centre.The spectacular conservatory at the Barbican, is a joy to discover. This lush, tropical oasis is home to finches, quails, exotic fish and over 2,000 species of tropical plants and trees.

Adjoining this magical setting, and with views of St. Giles Cripplegate and the fountains of the Lakeside Terrace, is the Garden Room. Together with the Conservatory Terrace high up in the glass roof of the Centre, they form a stunning backdrop for cocktail receptions, buffets and formal banquets. The menus too, are equally as inspiring. Much thought, care and imagination goes in to the creation of the dishes we serve and, of course, only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. And, whatever the size of the event, you can count on attention to detail and impeccable service.

As well as being a world-class arts venue, the Barbican has a range of auditoria, rooms and spaces that can be hired for a wide range of events, from conferences, AGMs and product launches to meetings, receptions and weddings.

Our Foyers are perfect for conventions and large-scale events. Take in our iconic architecture with these buzzing and flexible spaces.

Level G

The Level G Foyer is located on our ground floor and at street level. Its views which take in the Lakeside make it an open and light space, great for big events. Our Level G Foyer is centrally located and gives views of our inside and outside architecture.

Level -1

A diverse and open space providing access to our Barbican Theatre and Hall. Ideal for registration, catering and exhibitions. Book independently for large exhibitions, parties and dinners.

Our Theatre is world-renowned for its construction and famous production history.

Seating 1156 people, the Barbican Theatre has an intimate feel with no seat located further than 20 metres from the stage. It’s an ideal venue for conferences, award ceremonies or private events .

All guests have excellent sightlines with tiered seating. Our acoustics in the venue are geared to the requirements of international production companies, with a blank canvas stage allowing for bespoke production.

The spectacular Conservatory is a joy to discover, a hidden tropical oasis in the heart of the city.

Our Conservatory is a versatile and unique space within the City of London. Alongside the Garden Room, it can accommodate up to 300 people for a standing reception. Coloured lighting has been incorporated into the planting, creating a stunning environment for parties held after dusk.

We’re able to accommodate a great range of activity including corporate lunches, weddings, product launches and seasonal parties.

The Frobisher Rooms are a suite of versatile conference rooms suitable for meetings of 10 to 170.

Ideal for both smaller meetings and syndicate work, the rooms are separated by removable sound proofed partitioning, and can be set up in any style to suit your event.

The six individual rooms are located on the 4th floor which is our dedicated conference floor, along with two auditoriums and boardroom.

At the heart of the rooms is the Frobisher Hub, where delegates can relax and unwind with views overlooking the Sculpture Court.

Our Garden Room can be used for conferences, private dining and wedding receptions. It can host up to 300 people for a reception and when combined with the Conservatory and Conservatory Terrace, can accommodate up to 650 people for parties and events, providing one of the world’s most unusual and flexible networking spaces.

Our events team will be happy to discuss any theming you might have in mind. They will be able to create an original menu, tailor the decor and bring your ideas to life.

High up under our glass roof, the Conservatory Terrace is a magical space overlooking hundreds of tropical plants.

Flooded with natural daylight, our large and versatile terrace is suitable for a variety of events including drinks receptions, wedding ceremonies, dinners and exhibitions.

For larger events, the space can be combined with the Conservatory and Garden Room to accommodate up to 650 people with direct staircase access.
