The word Anderida is Roman in origin meaning hunting ground, which is very appropriate. It not only reflects the wild game that roam in the forest but also perfectly describes their Head Chef’s hunter’s eye for tracking down only the finest and freshest ingredients for your table. The room is stunning with high windows, framed by heavy drapes, looking out over the surrounding gardens. As well as being one of the most impressive looking meeting venues in Sussex, and the South East of England, our wide range of fully equipped private meeting rooms, conference and banqueting suites, which can accommodate all types and sizes of business event, confirm Ashdown Park as the complete Sussex conference venue.

Our Richard Towneley Suite is one of the most unique and impressive conference venues in the South East. Spectacular stained glass windows, designed by famous 19th century Irish stained glass artist Harry Clarke, create shimmering shafts of light. Complete with the original organ, bells and a vaulted timber ceiling, it creates a magnificent setting for any event. The Suite comprises of two large conference and banqueting suites catering for up to 250 people seated for dinner over two floors (Harry Clarke room & John Haywood room).

There are six syndicate rooms comprising a semi-circular ounge, cloakrooms, bar, office and reception, all self-contained and available for private use.
