A Week in the Life of a Cow

As a venue finding service for all events across the spectrum, we fortunately have the delight of visiting the venues we build relationships with at Crazy Cow Events – what is a venue finding service without a first-hand experience?!

On a weekly basis our family friendly team at Crazy Cow Events leave our troubles behind to gain the best first-hand experience and knowledge of the venues we recommend to our diverse client base. These familiarisation (FAM) trips often consist of a grand tour of the venue’s spaces  as well as a generous selection of the venue’s food and beverage menu’s, to give us a real taste of what the venue has to offer!

Over the past month, we have had the delight of visiting a various number of venues in the borough of London, from quirky bars in Chelsea to sleek 5* hotels in Marble Arch – we get to see it all!

The Jam Tree

Hosted by one of Crazy Cows former colleagues/members, we Cows were invited to The Jam Tree venue in Clapham and Chelsea. The venue takes on an exciting decor of Jam jars and bookcase doors as well as impressive spaces indoor & outdoor at extremely competitive prices. After viewing what Chelsea’s Jam Tree had to offer, we were whisked away to Clapham North where we were greeted with a large platter of Mexican inspired food- BBQ chicken wings, pitta bread with an array of dips & salsa, potato wedges and much more! We cows were also fortunate enough to taste some of the Jam Tree’s signature cocktails- of which included A ‘Jammy Dodger’ and Jam Mojito which were very yummy indeed!!

Montcalm Marble Arch

Not just a 5* Hotel, 5* treatment too! Not long after sliders, Olives and Champagne was served, a never-ending table full of bowl food was presented to us. Filled with a variety of fresh and well-presented hot mini main courses- the bowl food gave us a true insight into what the Montcalm had to offer. Swiftly after an array of desserts were served constituting of nougat filled profiteroles & homemade banoffee pie, we were introduced to the Hotels professional bar man, to demonstrate the delights of cocktail making. After indulging in 4 fabulously homemade cocktails, we left the Montcalm with a fabulous goodie bag with expectations way beyond met and the bar set extremely high!

Park Plaza County Hall

Located only 5 minute walk from Waterloo station, the friendly staff at Park Plaza County hall welcomed us at the venue. Greeted with name badges, a glass of bubbly and raffle ticket, the Park Plaza County Hall knows how to make a great first impression! On arrival we were also pampered with a relaxing hand massage by the Hotels Aurora Spa. The venue put on an impressive BBQ spread cooked to perfection! The food was served on the venues terrace bar which overlooked an impressive view of the London Eye. The evening also featured their new bar drink “Hugo” which accompanied the large BBQ platter. Before the evening ended, the raffle prizes were drawn and to Crazy Cow’s surprise, we had the delight of winning the free treatment at the Aurora Spa! Not a bad way to end the day! Thank you Park Plaza!

Kensington Close Hotel

After only a short walk from High Street Kensington, we were greeted with a very warm welcome from the Senior Conference & Events Sales Manager who showed us the Hotels flexible and contemporary venue spaces alongside the newly refurbished garden space. We were fortunate enough to enjoy the hotels main restaurant cuisine of a 3 course dinner followed by delicious cocktails accompanied by the hotels friendly and comical staff. It was an extremely enjoyable and entertaining evening!
